Have you ever wondered…
What if… you could use local green spaces to run more community activities?
What if… you could set up a business by the waterfront that creates local jobs?
What if… you could make relevant information available to the whole community?
If you’ve ever had questions like these, What if…North Edinburgh is your chance to turn them into actions!
What if... North Edinburgh is delivered by Firstport in collaboration with the City of Edinburgh Council's Business Gateway and the Scottish Government. It will provide one to one advice, resources, and training to local residents who want to get ideas that make a difference in the community off the ground. All this is will be led and facilitated in the community by someone already in the community.
To get started, we will be running local events to get your views and make sure the programme responds to what the community needs. After that, anyone interested in taking part in the programme will be able to register interest by completing a short online form.
You may already have an idea, or maybe you are just curious, it doesn’t matter! If you have the motivation and enthusiasm to make North Edinburgh the best version of itself, we want you to get involved. So, come and join us at one of our upcoming events and make your voice heard:
Friday 24th May at North Edinburgh Arts 9.30 am-12.00 pm (lunch served after). If you need childcare, please contact Julie Smith ASAP, details below.
Tuesday 4th June at The Prentice Centre 6:00-8:00 pm (food included)
