digitalXtra Fund

Do you have an amazing project that will engage and inspire young people in computing science and digital technologies, but need some financial support? A new round of grant awards will be launched on 30 August 2018 with submissions due by 1 November 2018.

Shared Care Scotland - Better Breaks

The Better Breaks programme provides 12 month grants to third sector organisations to develop and deliver short breaks projects and services for children and young people with disabilities (aged 20 and under), and their carers (adult and/or young carers). A total of approximately £1.2 million is available for the 2019-20 round of the Better Breaks funding programme. Deadline for applications is 5pm on Thursday 15 November 2018.

Digital Fund - Big Lottery

The Digital Fund is a new UK wide £15 million funding programme to support charities and community organisations. It is about helping the charity and voluntary sector to use digital tools and approaches to support people and communities to thrive. Applications close on 3rd December 2018. There will be further opportunities to apply in 2019.

ShareLab Scotland

The Scottish Government is partnering with Nesta to find and support early stage projects that build and/or use collaborative digital platforms to tackle challenges around sustainable energy and transport; focusing on the most vulnerable consumers. Applications are open until 28 February 2019.

Young Start - Big Lottery

Grants of between £10k and £100k are available for projects that create opportunities for children and young people aged eight to 24 to realise their own potential. Deadline 29 March 2019.

Social Enterprise Support Fund - Aberdeenshire

Councillors are supporting the sector with a £200,000 Social Enterprise Support Fund which will be open for applications until March 2019. The fund includes grants for new permanent employees, training, expert advice, and for feasibility studies into new income streams. There is also a grant for the establishment of new social enterprises, and for the establishment new income streams for existing social enterprises. Applications ongoing until March 2019.

Edinburgh Trust Community Programme

The Edinburgh Trust Community Programme is looking to fund and support new and innovative projects in Edinburgh, which can provide more lasting and longer term positive impacts to: help improve lives; reduce poverty; get the best out of the people and resources in our communities. The grants available will seed fund new projects to help get them off the ground and can be in the region of £1,000 and £10,000. Applications are ongoing.

Scottish Land Fund

The Scottish Land Fund supports rural and urban communities to become more resilient and sustainable through the ownership and management of land and land assets. Applications are ongoing.

National Lottery Awards for All Scotland

The new name for Awards for All Scotland, the National Lottery Awards for All Scotland offers funding from £300 to £10,000 to support what matters to people and communities. Applications are ongoing.

Shell LIVEWire Smarter Future Awards

£5,000 is given each month to new young social entrepreneurs looking to implement innovative business solutions that meet the energy and resource needs of a growing population. Applications are ongoing.
