#SocialSummer2018 hits Scotland!

August 10, 2018

The school summer holidays may be coming to an end, but Social Summer 2018 is just kicking off in Scotland

#SocialSummer2018 has been running from 1st June across the UK, taking the public on a digital road trip to shine a spotlight on those businesses which are changing lives and their communities whilst being a whole lot of fun to visit! The trip showcases social enterprises and community businesses you can visit over the summer months from museums, theatres and leisure centres to zoos, skate parks and community owned pubs and cafes.

The campaign is being run as a partnership between Social Enterprise Scotland, Social Enterprise Northern Ireland, the Wales Co-operative Centre and Social Enterprise UK.

Check out the road maps so far and the Social Enterprise Scotland Twitter feed for updates - the Scotland leg of the tour runs from 9th to 31st of August.

The Scottish tour will include a strong mix of 23 social enterprises from across the country that are open to the public - and will promote others open to the public too. It's a unique opportunity to showcase social enterprise to a big UK-wide and global audience.

Let's raise the public profile of our brilliant social enterprise community! Spread the word and follow the campigh using #SocialSummer2018
